Waitress Lady

There was a waitress lady,
...of the night,
With hair so black,
...and eyes so bright.

Who had set her goals,
...with high ambition,
To invoke her dreams,
...and premonitions.

In a meeting place,
...for friends abound,
Hard at work,
...she could often be found.

While others relaxed,
...and enjoyed their drinks,
She was off to the bar,
...with a smile and a wink.

Depression and sadness,
...could never be known
For in her eyes,
...only happiness was shown.

Through glares and stares,
...from unkindly folk,
She'd continue her rounds,
...and think them a joke.

Every once in a while,
...a stranger she'd meet,
Who would make her feel warm,
...special, and sweet.

For working the Tross,
...has its ups and downs,
But in Waitress Lady's eyes,
...one will never see frowns!
